Anglesea Medical provides comprehensive, professional, compassionate evidence-based healthcare that seeks to empower people to take control of their health.
We promote preventative health care and focus on maintaining physical and mental health and wellness throughout life, as well as treating and providing comprehensive management for illness and disease.
We continually seek to engage people in a collaborative approach by providing expert evidence-based advice and working with you to enable positive outcomes.
Our specialist General Practitioners, Registered Nurses and administrative staff work together to ensure we provide professional, accountable and empathetic care to our local community and surrounding areas.
We are a private billing clinic.
Anglesea Medical is housed within the Barwon Health Anglesea Community Health Centre. This enables a multidisciplinary approach to care with easy access to health professionals working for Barwon Health such as Dietitians, Diabetic Educators, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, and Social Workers. Australian Clinical Labs provide pathology services in the same location also.
While there are no local radiology services available, some of the GPs do use POCUS (Point Of Care Ultrasound) for diagnostic support and management when appropriate.
GPs providing services at Anglesea Medical have access to the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) to enable appropriate care for non-English speakers. Please contact us if requiring support in accessing this service.
Anglesea Medical has been accredited by Quality Practice Accreditation, in recognition of having met the Australian General Practice standards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
As a practice and as individuals we undergo continuous quality improvement activities and are committed to a culture of continual improvement.
We contribute to training the health professionals of the future and support medical and nursing students on placements and provide training for GP Registrars.
We recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather to work and play, the Wathaurong people, and continue to pay our respects to ancestors and Elders, past and present. We remain committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society, and look to learn, share and walk together in all aspects of our lives. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and support the call for Treaty.
